Over the next few days the Architectural world will be a hive of activity as Melbourne plays host to the 2013 National Architecture conference which this year has been themed: Material.

To kick of the conference various ‘fringe events’ were on offer such as building tours and other festivities. The most important of these events was entitled Transform: Altering the Future of Architecture, which was an enthralling full day workshop produced by the fantastic team behind Parlour.
Transform Program
The Transform event featured the key note speaker Lori Brown followed by a series of panel discussions, short presentations and a group workshop activity. The caliber of the guest speakers was outstanding and the opportunity to meet some of these leaders in person was a particular highlight.

It is my intention to cover Transform in more detail in a future post, so stay tuned for details.
Upon completion Transform it was time for a quick walk and tram ride to the Design Hub to join the official opening party.
As an emerging Architect it was a fantastic opportunity to meet and converse with some of the giants in Australian Architecture.
